 詩55:1 〔大衛的訓誨詩、交與伶長、用絲絃的樂器。〕 神阿、求你留心聽我的禱告.不要隱藏不聽我的懇求。
  Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
 詩55:2 求你側耳聽我、應允我.我哀歎不安、發聲唉哼.
  Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
 詩55:3 都因仇敵的聲音、惡人的欺壓.因為他們將罪孽加在我身上、發怒氣逼迫我。
  Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
 詩55:4 我心在我裡面甚是疼痛.死的驚惶臨到我身。
  My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
 詩55:5 恐懼戰兢歸到我身、驚恐漫過了我。
  Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
 詩55:6 我說、但願我有翅膀像鴿子、我就飛去、得享安息。
  And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
 詩55:7 我必遠遊、宿在曠野。〔細拉〕
  Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
 詩55:8 我必速速逃到避所、脫離狂風暴雨。
  I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
 詩55:9 主阿、求你吞滅他們、變亂他們的舌頭.因為我在城中見了強暴爭競的事。
  Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
 詩55:10 他們在城牆上晝夜繞行.在城內也有罪孽和奸惡。
  Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
 詩55:11 邪惡在其中、欺壓和詭詐不離街市。
  Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
 詩55:12 原來不是仇敵辱罵我.若是仇敵、還可忍耐.也不是恨我的人向我狂大.若是恨我的人、就必躲避他。
  For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
 詩55:13 不料是你、你原與我平等、是我的同伴、是我知己的朋友。
  But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
 詩55:14 我們素常彼此談論、以為甘甜.我們與群眾在 神的殿中同行。
  We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
 詩55:15 願死亡忽然臨到他們.願他們活活的下入陰間.因為他們的住處、他們的心中、都是邪惡。
  Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
 詩55:16 至於我、我要求告 神.耶和華必拯救我。
  As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
 詩55:17 我要晚上、早晨、晌午、哀聲悲歎.他也必聽我的聲音。
  Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
 詩55:18 他救贖我命脫離攻擊我的人、使我得享平安.因為與我相爭的人甚多。
  He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
 詩55:19 那沒有更變、不敬畏 神的人、從太古常存的 神、必聽見而苦待他。
  God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
 
詩55:20 他背了約、伸手攻擊與他和好的人。
  He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
 詩55:21 他的口如奶油光滑、他的心卻懷著爭戰。他的話比油柔和、其實是拔出來的刀。
  The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
 詩55:22 你要把你的重擔卸給耶和華、他必撫養你.他永不叫義人動搖。
  Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
 詩55:23  神阿、你必使惡人下入滅亡的坑.流人血行詭詐的人、必活不到半世、但我要倚靠你。
  But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
