箴15:1 回答柔和、使怒消退．言語暴戾、觸動怒氣。
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
箴15:2 智慧人的舌、善發知識．愚昧人的口、吐出愚昧。
The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
箴15:3 耶和華的眼目、無處不在．惡人善人、他都鑒察。
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
箴15:4 溫良的舌、是生命樹．乖謬的嘴、使人心碎。
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
箴15:5 愚妄人藐視父親的管教．領受責備的、得著見識。
A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
箴15:6 義人家中、多有財寶．惡人得利、反受擾害。
In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
箴15:7 智慧人的嘴、播揚知識．愚昧人的心、並不如此。
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.
箴15:8 惡人獻祭、為耶和華所憎惡．正直人祈禱、為他所喜悅。
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
箴15:9 惡人的道路、為耶和華所憎惡．追求公義的、為他所喜愛。
The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
箴15:10 捨棄正路的、必受嚴刑．恨惡責備的、必致死亡。
Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.
箴15:11 陰間和滅亡、尚在耶和華眼前、何況世人的心呢。
Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?
箴15:12 褻慢人不愛受責備．他也不就近智慧人。
A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
箴15:13 心中喜樂、面帶笑容．心裡憂愁、靈被損傷。
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
箴15:14 聰明人心求知識．愚昧人口喫愚昧。
The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
箴15:15 困苦人的日子、都是愁苦．心中歡暢的、常享豐筵。
All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
箴15:16 少有財寶、敬畏耶和華、強如多有財寶、煩亂不安。
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.
箴15:17 喫素菜、彼此相愛、強如喫肥牛、彼此相恨。
Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
箴15:18 暴怒的人、挑啟爭端．忍怒的人、止息分爭。
A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
箴15:19 懶惰人的道、像荊棘的籬笆．正直人的路、是平坦的大道。
The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.
箴15:20 智慧子使父親喜樂．愚昧人藐視母親。
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
箴15:21 無知的人、以愚妄為樂．聰明的人、按正直而行。
Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
箴15:22 不先商議、所謀無效．謀士眾多、所謀乃成。
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellers they are established.
箴15:23 口善應對、自覺喜樂．話合其時、何等美好。
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
箴15:24 智慧人從生命的道上升、使他遠離在下的陰間。
The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
箴15:25 耶和華必拆毀驕傲人的家．卻要立定寡婦的地界。
The Lord will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
箴15:26 惡謀為耶和華所憎惡．良言乃為純淨。
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
箴15:27 貪戀財利的、擾害己家．恨惡賄賂的、必得存活。
He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
箴15:28 義人的心、思量如何回答．惡人的口、吐出惡言。
The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
箴15:29 耶和華遠離惡人．卻聽義人的禱告。
The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
箴15:30 眼有光使心喜樂．好信息使骨滋潤。
The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
箴15:31 聽從生命責備的、必常在智慧人中。
The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
箴15:32 棄絕管教的、輕看自己的生命．聽從責備的、卻得智慧。
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
箴15:33 敬畏耶和華、是智慧的訓誨．尊榮以前、必有謙卑。
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
