 何8:1 你用口吹角罷．敵人如鷹來攻打耶和華的家、因為這民違背我的約、干犯我的律法。
  Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the Lord, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
 何8:2 他們必呼叫我說、我的　神阿、我們以色列認識你了。
  Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.
 何8:3 以色列丟棄良善、〔或作福分〕仇敵必追逼他。
  Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
 何8:4 他們立君王、卻不由我、他們立首領、我卻不認．他們用金銀為自己製造偶像、以致被剪除。
  They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
 何8:5 撒瑪利亞阿、耶和華已經丟棄你的牛犢．我的怒氣向拜牛犢的人發作．他們到幾時方能無罪呢。
  Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
 何8:6 這牛犢出於以色列、是匠人所造的、並不是神．撒瑪利亞的牛犢、必被打碎。
  For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
 何8:7 他們所種的是風、所收的是暴風、．所種的不成禾稼、就是發苗也不結實、即便結實、外邦人必吞喫。
  For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
 何8:8 以色列被吞喫．現今在列國中、好像人不喜悅的器皿。
  Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
 何8:9 他們投奔亞述、如同獨行的野驢．以法蓮賄買朋黨。
  For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
 何8:10 他們雖在列邦中賄買人、現在我卻要聚集懲罰他們．他們因君王和首領所加的重擔、日漸衰微。
  Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
 何8:11 以法蓮增添祭壇取罪、因此、祭壇使他犯罪。
  Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.
 何8:12 我為他寫了律法萬條、他卻以為與他毫無關涉。
  I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
 何8:13 至於獻給我的祭物、他們自食其肉、耶和華卻不悅納他們．現在必記念他們的罪孽、追討他們的罪惡、他們必歸回埃及。
  They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the Lord accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
 何8:14 以色列忘記造他的主、建造宮殿．猶大多造堅固城、我卻要降火焚燒他的城邑、燒滅其中的宮殿。
  For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
